Walkability expert, Dan Burden, will be conducting a walking tour of Granite Square and the West Granite neighborhood next Wednesday morning, May 4.  Granite Square and West Granite, both part of the larger Piscataquog neighborhood, are home to the Piscataquog Trail, and their density, mix of residential and commercial uses, and proximity to downtown make them a prime example of walkable neighborhoods.  The tour, which will include a discussion of the strengths and areas for improvement in neighborhood walkability, will meet at Sweeney Park at 9:20am and run until 11:30am.  West Granite Gazette has more information.
